I have a good long time friend that makes a fortune on the net. He is trying to get me started and has a little site he wants to get rid of. To tell you the truth, he likes to hand out with me because I get him women. He is kind of a nerd, but he has been my friend since childhood and I would not stop hanging out with him. But, he is always afraid I will. He makes a lot of money and wants me to start going on some of the vacation he does, but I can't afford it. I know he is not scamming me, but I don’t know enough to know what to do. He tells me it is worth a lot more than he will sell it to me for. He also says that if I work with it I could double the income in a short time. He says he is too busy with his other sites, but will tell me how to do it. Below are the site specifications. Any very knowledgeable people please let me know what you think. The site based on PSD's (I don't even know what that stands for.) Here is the kicker though. It receives 500,000 Unique a month. And 2,600,000 page views. He says it is presently making $2,000 a month. It was established in 2005. 1st Question - What is this site worth? 2nd Question - With that amount of Unique and Page Views how could I monetize it to make more? 3rd Question - What could I increase the income to?
Well, if PSD is not something about pesticides, it is probably Photoshop stuff - like files, templates etc... It is a very overcrowded niche, text ad click may be paying some $0.30 to $0.50, which may feel like a lot of money... however, people visiting such sites are bad clickers . I doubt you could double that figure because after all, it is not that popular, it has the limits. It is hard to judge, though, without seeing how the site has been monetized. I would probably also add affiliate links to themes, software skins and smileys. If the site is making $2000 a month (which I doubt - can you get him to show you proof?) you would probably have to pay anything around or over 12 month revenues. So $20,000 to $30,000 is realistic. But then again I have to say: ASK for a proof. It is absolutely crucial. Don't think that if he's your buddy, he's all that nice and sunny. And I don't think PSD is a good start-up project for a newbie. However, if you like the niche and get a hard proof of profits, why not? why not? P.S. Any tips on how to get babes?

A little site to get you started, that may cost you $20k or more... you don't know what the site is about.... maybe you need to find an independent mentor who can help you learn about websites and marketing, before you invest that amount of dough. Do you have $20k to spend on it, or would you have to take out a loan? Tankard has a good suggestion. Why not set up your own site selling your own product on how to get babes?
I am fairly well off. I think the idea he gave me will work. I have 3 5 star condos in one of the most exotic locations in the world. They would rent for over $200 a night. Any big time web marketer that wants a free vacation for as long as they want I will let them stay in them. I will pay for your airline ticket too. Just teach me how to make money on the net. If you feel that he is not trying to rip you off, and he is indeed a friend, why don't you ask him those questions? Anyway.... A site, any site is worth what you are willing to pay for it. If I were in your shoes, I would start off offering to pay him what he has put into it, time and money. How much after that, I don't know, since I do not know the name of the site. Ask him. But I would hit up other webmasters to see if they want to advertise there. Multiply, say $100 a month per webmaster.... That's a question that can't be answered. It depends on whatever amount of work you put into it.
If you are fairly well off, how come you cant take the vacations with your friend?? As for the site, is the nich psd? Or did he say it was a php site?? Where is the traffic from?

10-15 months revenue is the usual price, but of course a lot depends on the site itself. hm wonder what got the OP banned. Guess 777 don't really bring luck
