Hi all Just started off with this new site. Spend all the money on hosting and domain so am using a free template as of now. I would like to know your views and suggestions as to how can i improve the site. Also please do share your experiences as to how to get more targeted traffic on the same. Not bad, seems solid. I think with that kind of niche, content is definitely king, the more content you have the better. Personally what I would of done is create a blog and post news/info/videos etc. Wordpress is already optimised and I think with tones of good content a blog would work well for you. Thanks for the reply..I am trying to work out the content part..initially i thought about the blog but there are already a lot of similar blogs on the net so i thought i should be offering a forum along with the content...
You can improve the layout to make it more professional looking. Try to make some logo. And why limited it to India only? It certainly will decrease your forum user if you limited to India stock only. I do suggest you to make it global
Reduce the width a bit. Its going wider than my 1024 resolution on mozilla. increase the height of the stock ticker. put in some content and social bookmark for starters.
The design is good. Simple colours, easy navigation.. Here are some quick tips. 1. Make the header banner smaller and different color than the main website's color so it looks nicer. 2. Change the title. When someones sees only the domain name "investmentalkin.com" he will NOT know what the website is all about. Include the benefits of using that website. 3. Dont use the same color on your subtitles ex the "Video Section". You can use black. 4. Use the same colour on all your links (both advertising links and normal site links). 5. Do not spend a lot of time on designing. Spend time on marketing the website.
