I installed adsense-deluxe2 but sometimes when I visit my website, there are ads from another publisher on my site. I am sure the ads are from this plugin, what do I have to do in order to only show my ads and disable the ads from the creator of the plugin?
I will tell you a solution, I am sure it will solve the problem, but in case it do not work, then inform me and I will try to get another solution. Open this file "adsense-deluxe.php" in note pad. then go to line "32" here you will see this $__ACMETECH_CLIENT_ID__ = and in front of this variable, you will see "pub-6179066220764588";" Here put your own ID for example, if your adsense ID is pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx then the line should be $__ACMETECH_CLIENT_ID__ = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"; Now goto, line 125 here you will see 'google_ad_channel = "1478884331" put here your own channel. I hope this will help
Oh my God...this is plain cheating and stealing. I have seen the file in note pad and yes...there is someone else's adsense pub id in it. So it means even if we have not checked Reward Plugin Author box in this plugin's settings, still it would be used to share the users' adsense revenue with some one else. I am so disappointed that I am removing Adsense Deluxe from my system. I feel even if I replace the current pub id and channel with mine, there still might be some unethical activity going on due to some other hidden script. But one thing really surprises me: this is said to be the most popular and widely used adsense plugin and even experienced and knowledgeable geeks are using it. Is it popular despite this secret stealing thing? Or is it that this cheating element is somehow still unknown to people? I thank you angilina for revealing this critical day light robbery issue to others..
It sounds to me that it's just a default id that comes with the plugin. Can't you just change it to your own id and use it for what you need it for. Dean
