    Tell me what you think.
I think my slogan is great.
I try to write the best content possible for my website.

    I like it.

I would use another color for the slogan (it is nice) more blueish, like the rest of the site
    and can you center it?

I agree with thehustler I think that blue is too bright you should use a different
shade of blue and add some graphics to the page.

is that an old-style hit counter that you have on top of the google ads?

Well it is not on top of any ads in IE or Firefox for me. But yes I do have a counter. Should I make it invisible?
I can make it invisible if that helps. I toned down the blue color to a duller blue.
I might can center the banner and the banner is really temp until I can make or get someone to make me a nice new one.

Just wanted to show you what it looks like on my screen...

I'm no expert, but I would move the google ads from the top, and put them in between some of your posts... Just an idea..

Yeah I agree with tarponkeith. I suggest to put google ads somewhere at the right side not on Top. Instead add a banner on top. Well just a suggestion. Thanks!

Actually the higher the ads the better CTR you should get. Or that was what I was told.

Wait a moment....My banner is not showing.

Something must be wrong with your computer. It loads in IE and Firefox for me.

Then what would make you want to stay? I put a lot of work into writing those posts, they are not just the usual and you can't tell that unless you read one or more.

It's a good start. Make the hit counter invisible though. Also, put a Title on the page. You don't seem to have anything in your <title></title> tags.

tone down the blue, earth tones are more attractive and comfortable.

Okay I will add something to my title and I am going to keep my blue color.
I will also make the counter invisible when I get the chance.
So what else can I do to make people want to come to my site?

instead of that counter, why not check out google analytics? it provides a lot more statistics than any other free hit counter service that i've used...

also, your content may be golden, but if your design sucks then you'll lose a lot of traffic right off the bat. try working on that header to make it something more professional... if you're not sure what a good header for your niche should look like, google related sites and check out what their logos look like...

I use both. Statcounter provides up to date info while google takes a while longer and is not as accurate.

    I tamed the blue down....
Blue is fine, http://www.shoemoney.com uses it.
