Google starting to cache large numbers of pages in certain datacentres

I'm seeing Google caching large numbers of pages on some datacentres.

This isn't a rollback as some of the sites that I can see this on are new and have never been indexed before.

It'll be interesting to keep an eye on this to see if it's rolled out to all of the datacentres and hopefully it's a sign that Google will become more agressive with it's indexing and caching.

I'm seeing the weird numbers coming back in the main Google index again. One of my sites has remained steadily at ~875 pages for the past two weeks. Today it shows 9930. The site has ~1200 actual pages.

I'm seeing a few more of my new pages being indexed here: 64.233.183.99

Seeing hundreds of new pages indexed here: 72.14.207.107 and 216.239.59.107

All of the so called new pages that are showing in the index are also listed as supplemental results. I have no idea why as each page is unique. All hand written.

Bu anyway, it's a start. At least they're showing.

The DC's that I'm seeing this on so far are,

    216.239.39.104
    216.239.39.99
    216.239.37.104
    216.239.37.99
    216.239.39.107
    216.239.37.107

These have all jumps in terms of pages cached from single figures into the mid thousands in the last couple of days.

As you say hopefully it'll stick and propegate to the other DCs

I'm not seeing it on every site that I check for, though a high proportion show marked changes. Hopefully it's a sign of work in progress.

Same here, I hope it stay as is.
If there is a sandbox than one of my site seem to be out of it.

But only one site seems to have jumped, the others are still ticking along as per normal.

Are you talking about the SERP results of number of pages cached?

I am seeing it here also - but when you go to page 10-20+ it starts to show less results. Example one site I have reported on most DC's 60-70 pages but on a few like you mention below ~5400. But then I go to page 10-20, it reverts back to 50-70 pages. hehe.

Yep, I'm seeing that too. Mainly due to supplemental pages. But right now I'll take even that. I'm happy to see any positive movement at all. Heck I'm just hoping they'll **reindex** pages that had already been indexed for months before.

I've had the thousands of supplemental results for weeks now, nothing has gotten any better here. 75 indexed and 29,925 supplemental on a forum with over 200,000 posts ain't exactly good.
