    Two months ago my site was PR5; then another site redirected to me and Google went completely stupid, listing that site's URL when you searched for my site's name.
    Last month it dropped to a 3 and now today it's at 2.

    I can only guess it's something to do with that redirect cause that site was a 2.
    Not that I claim to know how PR is calculated but my site is way better than a 2.

    And lest anone comes in here to say "PR doesn't matter", it matters to me.

    Mind you my inner pages have stayed the same or gone up. It's only the page that site redirected to that's been sinking.

    it just another ridiculous idea to go crazy for Google PR .

    It does seem like the start of a PR update, i'm sure it will actually be completed nearer the end of the month (as it is suppose to according to past PR updates!)

    It SHOULD matter to you, Matt Cutts says it matters, it's nothing to OBSESS over but it is something to care about along with lots of other things that make up the Google alg.
