Does anyone have any suggestions and explain why they use them. I'm aware of ezine and associated content, but any others I should try?
EzineArticles is the best one by a mile. If you only submit to one directory, make it this one. Buzzle is okay but very fussy on what they accept of late GoArticles is good ArticleCity is okay but you can't put anchor links in - Dean
Ezine and Associated Content are my biggest traffic producers. After those, Buzzle is the third ranking article directory. However, Buzzle is beat out by Web 2.0 properties like Squidoo and Hubpages. And even Associated Content is beaten by video sharing sites. And *NOT* just YouTube, either.

If you post articles on Infobarrel.com you will also get 75% of the Google Adsense impressions your content generates, so there is an added bonus. Only caveat is the content has to be original and can't be posted elsewhere online.
I use ezinearticles as well. Sometimes if I'm in a rush and I need to move on to something else, I post there and nowhere else. I have also used GoArticles and Article City in the past though.
Infobarrel.com share shares proceeds, even better. I have some original content. Make sense, but do they get crawled?
