I am not talking about domain value given by estibot. But I am wondering how accurate is estibot's "frequency (MSN)" thing. When we search for a domain value in estibot, it also shows how many people are searching that particular keyword which we give. Once when I was looking for my domain value, it showed that the domain is searched 15,000 times in MSN. But when I tried searching the same keywords in wordtracker free keyword checker, it shows nothing. It just shows "No result found" Whom to trust? If there is 15,000 search for my keyword in a month, then I should have atleast 500 searches per day for the same keyword. But wordtracker keyword tracker shows "no search found" - What to do? And because of the keyword search, estibot estimates my domain to be worth 110 USD Crazy estibot.
As I said, I am not telling askign if estibot's estimate of my site value being $110 is accurate or not. I am asking if the number of keywords searches per month estimated by estibot is accurate or not
The MSN Frequency is not search popularity, it means the number of search results on the Web. If you click on the link that says Frequency(MSN), you'll be taken to the MSN search results page where you can view the results. Overture and Wordtracker are search popularity numbers, which is a different thing. The frequency is given in either Google or MSN, depending on which one of these sources is available to Estibot for the given term. The Google figures are from archived data, so they may be a bit different from current results, which you can verify by clicking on the link that says Frequency (Google). It's usually close enough, though. The MSN results are accurate and up-to-date, because they are fetched real-time. In other words, the MSN results are accurate, but they are different from search popularity, so you'll need to look at overture, wordtracker or Google Adwords keyword tool to get search popularity data. If Estibot cannot mine the search popularity data for a certain term, you'd have to look elsewhere. I recommend the Adwords tool in such a case. Regarding the 110 USD valuation you get - it's not due to some error, it's what Estibot thinks your domain might be worth. This is of course just a rough number based on an automatic 'technical' keyword analysis, it's intended to alert you to possible value, and to give you a rough baseline for starting your own valuation. Whether the name is worth $0 or $110 or $1,100, in the end, depends on the motivation and deepness of pocket of both the buyer & the seller. Thanks Esa Estibot.com developer
