I think this is not disclosed. Regarding your case, whenever your are dealing with
money, please get other contact information like land line no., mail id, mobile no.,
proper address etc. of the people concerned.

Yeh, I think it would be helpful to know the reasons. I was about ready to buy from GeoffreyF67, now obviously not so sure.

this is good advice. don't bother asking the mods either, they'll not tell you.

This is supposed to be a community. I think we have the RIGHT to know. Otherwise how do we know that whoever banned them isn't corrupt. Although I have never been in trouble with dp, I know people who have been reprimanded and the is no recourse at all - no appeals, nothing... Mod's can use this power how they please.

I think it's a worry, to much power with nobody really sure of whats happening or why it happening? Absolute power can (and does) corrupt, especially when money is involved. I am not suggesting any DP mods are corrupt, god no, but still... we should have someway to find out - and a avenue to appeal.

The moderators are very strict as regards postings in B/S/T section....

This could be one of the reasons....though your suggestion of a way to informing other members of reasons for ban/period of ban would really be helpful.

    Regards,

I see, don't like it, but I guess that's the way it is. You know, in the 'real world' decisions are usually explained and justified. But not here, China, Burma, or any other totalitarianism regime...

E-mail him and ask why he was banned.

If he was banned for violating B/S/T rules, he will be back in seven days.

Yeah, I am also guilty of not reading some stickies. I only just learned about the seven day ban. Thanks for mentioning it.

This is the only answer: "follow the rules and you won't get banned" :)

It's none of your business why another member was banned. It's your responsibility to get off-site contact info before taking part in any deal with another member.
