Are You Making The #1 Newbie Mistake When Making Money Online?

So, what is the NUMBER ONE newbie mistake when it comes to making money online?

No. It's not spending too much money on pay per click campaigns. It's not buying too many products. It's not even using poor methods to drive website traffic!

The one single biggest mistake that cause 99 percent of newbies to FAIL at internet marketing is GIVING UP too early.

"In the game of life, before you can get anything out you must put something in." -- Zig Ziglar

Making money online is just like the "water pump" analogy that motivational speaker Zig Ziglar often uses. You need to be pumping consistently at the water pump before the water can start to come out!

"Unfortunately, there are many people who stand in front of the stove of life and say, "Stove, give me some heat and I'll put some wood in you"" -- Zig Ziglar

Building an online business is just like building any other types of business. The most effort required is in the very beginning. It's very possible that you do not see obvious results for a while, especially when you don't have the right information. As they say, the first sale online is the most difficult sale. But once you make that first sale, you will make another, and another, and many more.

As long as you keep pumping away, the water will come. And when it does, you'll find that it will not just come out a little at a time. It will be GUSHING out and overflowing, giving you more than you had ever expected! And that is the very beauty of having an online business.

So don't give up! You could be just one pump away for the water to come out. You need to know right now that you have what it takes to succeed. And you will succeed big!

I agree. And one more thing, its always about being content in just one thing. You try to diverge yourself in too many things, you don't get anywhere then.

People don't analyze things they just put money and watch result.Measuring performance withing a period of time and accomplishing the task withing a given period of time leads the online business to great heights.

We just need to take some lessons from gurus and look at things from other's perspective. My product and business strategy may seem good to me, not to others

I don't agree, having some niches are ok , but you can also combine niches if they relate. Unless you meant in terms of certain advertising methods or something??

I think there are still a lot of people just quit before they even had their first $1. The mindset is all wrong. People just want to make a lot of money fast, who doesn't want to get rich, but I think that's the wrong mindset.

My suggestion is to focus and make a realistic goal, like making $5/day in a week or two maybe, and then move up to the highest level. It's like playing RPG like WOW!

A lot of people give up because they just cannot fathom the quagmire of info on making a site successful. For example blogging is the new black, yet some people write interesting logs and use all the tools and tricks and still only get 30 people reading it each day. The net is SUCH a hit or miss affair with the same things working for some and not others.

The only way to make a site successful with no money is to redefine your success definition.
Basically a site is successful if it shares good stuff, creates friendly communities, i.e.: most sites are successful, but their owners think they're not because they're not winning money.
5-10 years ago, web was much more friendly and people would make sites for the joy of sharing, today's internet is more like wall street full of desperate people looking for quick easy money, its more an "adnet" with absolutely no worthy content at all.

    Nice one Li.

Man I have had a site up for a about 1.5 weeks and made one sale ($21.14 USD) and I have been busting my balls to get that sale with adwords and some facebook stuff. Anyway today I was a bit like whatevs this is so frustrating, and then your post reminded me - like anything you want you gotta be persistent.

Do people actually make money on the internet?

I am a newbie and the way people get you into the internet is like 'oh its sooo easy, and then you just get a passive income of 10,000USD a month for not doing much at all' - This hasnt been my experience....

Who out there is making cash??

I meant in the sense, that you start domaining, web designing, programming and everything else at the same time.

Yes I fully agree. Today on many sites we see too much ads, also articles and content is written by keeping the thing in mind that how much traffic this will generate for author's website.

Seen people making info outta no info, all the random things being published and process comes up with non-authentic as well as low quality content, to just keep up with quantity.

Yeah, this is so true. Giving up is the number one reason why noobies fail to make any income on the internet. I used to give up until reading an inspirational thread. Now I make alot more than ever online.
