Are you talking about becoming an SEO reseller? When I explored this area I found it difficult to find reliable cost effective seo companies and gave up on the idea eventually.

You need to consider the time delays between your clients and your seo provider. What if your client has question that you cant answer without the SEO company? it will delay communications and your clients will hate that.

As Vigor mentioned, one of the biggest problems will be communication. Unless you gradually learn more seo at the same time, you probably won't be able to answer all client questions. Answering a question incorrectly can be worse than not answering it at all.

Without knowing enough about seo, it would also be tough to setup a good informative website. Most seo company websites have various tutorials and articles about seo. Usually that website is a great example of good seo practices too.

The other problem that Vigor mentioned is a big one too. It will be tough to find good, low-cost seo experts to do the work for you. To get many clients, you would have to offer fairly low prices which could leave very little profit for the middle man.

Other than those issues, it would essentially be like running an seo company without having an office. Usually the owner and/or the sales people of such a company aren't necessarily seo experts. Good sales pitches could overcome any lack of technical knowledge.
