Hyundai Santro Vs Maruti Wagon-R

Hi,
Now when the car prices are slashed down, I want to buy my first car. But I am very much confused between which to buy. I have shortlisted Wagon-R from Maruti and Santro Xing as they fit my budget.

Please suggest me which car should I buy. we are a family of 3.

 

I feel wagon r is very ugly but then its personal taste,

 

i think u should go with wagnor because it is more spacious compare to santro

 

I would also recommend Wagor R...since it is more spacious....Go for top end version since that model at least looks more stylish...

Wagon R.. Bigger space and more comfortable.. But still your choice..

 

I will go for top end version only. My main motive is the milage too as both are economical car.

Do you have any idea as which one gives better milage and more power.
Wagon-R is spacious but its only 4 seater. Santro is 5 seater.

 

Santro is good between those two but i personally like Maruti Swift.

 

Hyundai santro is my favorite.

 

I am also impressed with Maruti's new offering...."Desire"....

It seems to be the combination of both Swift in the front and baleno at the back..

You seem to have a good sense of humour. Even I could not stop laughing after reading your post. The car is not so small as it looks in the picture and the size of whels are large enough to balance on highways over 140 km/hour.

 

I have used both even though right now i own a scorpio, my first car was a santro and my father has a wagon R

Personally i would go for a Santro
I have driven it up to Rohtang Pass (13000 feet at Manali) twice in a year, driven from Delhi to Hyderabad, Hyderabad to Kerala, Hyderabad to Mumbai, let me tell you it has never ever stranded me on the road not even a flat tyre to say

Now dont ask me what i do with my scorpio right now....

 

I would go for Hyundai Santro. Their after sales service is superb. On top of that it doesn't
make any sound on road. It would just worth your money.

 

Well I am using Maruti Wagon-R since last 2 years and believe me Maruti Wagon-R is better car then Hyundai Santro car. In this car 5 people can easily seat so you no reason to choose Santro.

However Swift desire is also a good car with diesel which gives average of 16 to 18 Km/L. I had that car in Pune at my friend's home.

 

I would like to say Maruti Wagon-R is better car then Hyundai Santro car.

 

Well both have 5 seater ( Check new models) also Maruti Wagon-R maintenance cost is low compare to Hyundai Santro car. I had no problems in last 2 years and no bigger maintenance needed yet.

 

I never knew Wagon-R comes as 5 seater. That was one of the main reason I was thinking of Santro.
