gr8webseller, don't give up your studies and put too much weight on ebay/online business. Yes, most of the seniors here earn more than 10k per month, some even hit 50k mark but it's impossible to earn this amount with zero cost investment. Hope that you get the hint. Best of luck.
Its great. Why don't you change course to business field? Back to topic, for starting you can be a dropshipping partner. All you have to do is promote the product at ebay, then if got sales, you earn the money. You no need to worried about the shipping cost coz it already handle by dropshipping company
As many members have already said, I think it's best to complete your studies first. Business in general is very competitive, and eBay selling is no exception. Generally, most businesses will fail, so it's best to have something to fall back on. I do wish you the best though...if you don't try, you'll never succeed.
Actually is not easy to achieve your goal; however, if you want to achieve your goal and you really want I am very positive that you will make it. Nothing is impossible if you can visualize it. Therefore, if you can visualize yourself to earn $2000 per day Go for it. Mario
College first, eBay second. $2K a day is very ambitious and a little unrealistic at this point. Your future would be a lot better off having the college education under your belt. You can always fall back on that if the eBay thing doesn't work out. If you cut back on college and eBay doesn't work out, then what will you do? Plus, getting some business education will help you learn the fundamentals of running your own business.
If you want to sell mops then do a search on eBay and find out what your mops are going for in auctions. Do some math involving your bulk purchase price and your sale price after fees and you've got your profits! It's simple! Buy lower then what you sell for.
It's interesting information I'm also interested to do eBay business please post here if any one kow any moreinformation. Thanks
Thanks for all members who replied for this thread. I have planned to start a business because i am not soo good with studies and also i don't like to work for some other. I like to work for myself. But most of them have said that "studies is first". It is correct, for those who is good with studies. But for those peoples like me, it wont works, because i am came from uneducated family. But all of them are earning lots, even my brother who is working as a s/w engg can't able to lead my uneducated fathers earnings. This is the reason for starting a business.
hello friends, I am new member. i have read your's question you should first complete your's study then switch over to business. educated person does business in innovative manner.so getting education is more essential to learn ways of doing business differently from rest of world.
eBay is a very powerful service if you know how to capitalise on it. You need to know current market trends, what products are hot sellers and you also need to have connections with legit wholesalers. Obtaining this specific knowledge is extremely hard and somewhat frustrating, however if you are successful, you will most definately reap the rewards and benefits. First things first: researching a product In order to run a successful eBay business you will want to know the top searches in specific categories. Pick a niche and stick to it. If your knowledge is good with electronics over something like pottery, then obviously you will want to go with electronics. Find the top searches in the electronics field and do a bit of research on the item such as average prices, shipping costs in order to see if it's feasible to start selling this item. Secondly: a legit supplier Finding an honest and legit supplier or wholesaler these days is extremely difficult. If you want to make it in this business while obtaining descent profits, you're going to have to work hard for it; the supplier is not going to land on your doorstep. Sticking with the electronics scenario, you will need to find a supplier of that item. I suggest taking a visit to Alibaba and GlobalSources. These are B2B marketplaces where you can find many legit suppliers and wholesalers who can accomodate your needs. But be careful, a lot of these people are fraudsters or scammers. You will need to do a lot of research on a supplier if you choose to pick there products. The easy part: setting up an eBay store This is the most easiest and sometimes the most funnest part of setting up an online business. You are in control of the creativity and ultimately the look of your business. Try keeping an eye out on your eBay fees and monthly store fees as they do add up over time. You will need to project these figures in the early days of your business and ultimately input these into your profit and loss projections. It is important you are not running a loss. As a 16 year old Australian entrepreneur and eBay powerseller, this is the best eBay advice I can give you. Good luck!
You can do bought without compromising your studies. I'm not and eBay seller nor do I have many skills relating to online commerce, but what I do know is that giving up your studies is the first bad business mistake your going to commit.
You need money to uy stock - do you have money, have you researched ebay selling at all? It is horrily cometitive with margins getting so tight people are dropping out every day. Selling mops - no chance in hell you will earm $2000 a MONTH, sorry ut thats the truth. Please, please do not give up your education.
Whatever you sell, you have to consider how many items you would need to sell, pack and post to maek $1000 profit. Aslo you would need ten times that $$ to get initial stock. If you dropship, consider how many submissions you would have to make to the dropshipper each day. To earm your $100 a day could mean 20 hours a day packing or filling in dropship forms. Not that exciting is it?
selling a mop on ebay would be like trying to sell pepsi, or coke on ebay...nobody is going to buy what they can get at walmart. In todays market, you have to be totally orginal, and then someone will end up copying what you do, and that is what people do, copy others because they are not orginal themselves. Coming up with a product that is hard to find is a plus also, but if you try to sell something that can be bought at any local store, then your chances of success are slim, and walmart has already got you beat.
