Link in "Location" on Posts is counted as backlink?

    I have a link in "My Location" in the posts.

    Will it be counted as a backlink? Any idea?

    Yes, but it is with www

    When search engine crawls the page they will read it full with www, so they will treat it as a backlink?

    I think it is counted as backlink because in your case it is with www and .com so SE should take it as a link.

    It is merely text, and not a link.

    If it was a link, location spaces would go for as much as your signature normally does ;)

    i dont think so, it would be treated as content but not as a link, link should be pointed to any other page or it self, but it is not pointing any where

    We have a winner, text is text and a link is a link. If text looks like a link, but isn't linking anywhere, it's just text and not a link.

    A door painted to a wall is not a door, if you can open it and go through it's a door.
