Kaspersky internet security is the king if you are a webmaster and connecting to internet . If you are a home user , i thing symantec is enough with recently updated files.
We use Symantec at work. Viruses have came through. I switched to Kaspersky and not 1 virus or malware has penetrated.
Symantec is the best because I use it and It is very powerful. About kaspersky I have no idea because I have not used yet.
Anybody want the lightweight antivirus program? Before this i have the KIS 7 using it on my vista, it's seems so good and perfect, block anythings that trying to access into your computer, fast scanning and fast virues and malware detection. And very good auto-protected. But after while i switch to Norton Internet security 2008, oh my god, drain the resources like normal. But feel protected no matter what website that you browse. No.. Then the new KIS 8 release, Internet Security 2009, i installed it. Another god that i am screaming, drain my resources that i feel would worser than the norton 2008 do. Headache of it. The i try the most expensive stuff, the Norton 360 V2, and you know what? it's the fastest and the lightest antivirus software that i ever feel. How to explain... you will know, when you boot a computer, just like no antivirus software installed, just in few seconds, your computer is ready to be operate!!!
Norton is a P.O.S. I purchased kapersky over a year ago, and have had no issues since then. Notice kapersky doesnt have a "Recovery disk" like norton? You know why? Because it works
Norton works fine in the beginning, and it is pretty powerful, although I've noticed that it lets viruses through from time to time. The thing is, after a couple of months of running it really hogs resources - we use it in the office, and every time we've uninstalled it we've noticed an improvement. Other machines are using AVG, which we've never had a problem with - those machines have also remained completely virus-free. Haven't used Kaspersky myself, so can't comment on it, but experience has shown me that Norton is nowhere near as good as they used to be. They're riding on brand-name only these days.
Kaspersky is beter because it doesn't slow down your PC and its very effective againts that nasty viruses Greets
I'm a Mac user, but I use Kaspersky when using Boot Camp. I did some Internet research and it seemed to be the best of the bunch. Picked up a renewal for free after rebate at Fry's. So, Kaspersky would be my recommendation.
Norton is a nightmare to use on anything more than a single PC. If you intend to use it on PCs on a network where you may have remote access via VPN, RAS or VNC its a joke. Sure, its good at what it does but its so agressive and restrictive you might as well just disconnect yourself from civilization and live in nice and safe rubber room. You just can't turn the damn thing off either and un-installing it is plain rediculous.
It's time to get a new PC then, Norton 2009 benchmarks the fastest all round security suite at the moment. Question, has anyone here actually even tried Norton 2009?
Has any1 of you tried Panda antivirus? if yes? how is it? i am goin to purchase the liscensed version of it for 3 users account from an IT store at my town.. wht u ppl say is it good or not? Infact i like kypersky but dont know how to get the registered one? Any sugesion?
I had use both Kaspersky and symantec . In my opinion, the facts proves obviously Kaspersky is better than symantec.
