If a url that is clicked doesn't go through CJ.com servers, such as dpbolvw.net, etc', then it wont track the commission?
That us correct, for CJ to track they must receive the traffic (via their server). But just wondering, how will you get a url for an affiliate link that does NOT contain their server address?
I have just seen some folks take directly the URL that dpbolvw.net lands you, for example.. advertiser.com?pid=123&aid=123 for instance. So i though myself these guys don't earn the commissions probably. another question, i'm trying to implement the command ?url= on a Cj link but it keeps landing me to the original page that was set for the default URL. can it be by passed some how?
It depends on the advertiser, but you usually still get your commissions, CJ just cant track your stats. On the "get links" page, many advertisers will say that they allow link redirection, so then you know for that advertiser that you're OK.
that is the resolved url you MUST use the unresolved link ie dpbolvw.net etc to be tracked and be paid by CJ. And yes, some advertisers allow deep linking. you need to copy and paste the url that you want to land on into the destination url box in the get links section to then get your "dpbolvw.net" link. hope this helps
