folks, i'm planning to get a hdfc debit card in order to use it for netsafe based paypal verification. i'd greatly appreciate if other boarders post their experience on whether a hdfc netsafe vcc with an underlying debit card has succeeded 4 them. have a good one.
I just got my paypal account verified and activated ( did a transaction too) using a netsafe card generated from my HDFC bank account Ajucoolest helped me out with it. Big thanks to him
Hello , You can verify easily your Paypal with Netsafe Cards. I did that a long time ago and now I use my Credit Card. When I first used the netsafe card to verify Paypal , Paypal was not able to recognise my card because it was a Master Card and Paypal did not accept Master card for verification that time. After that I changed my debit Card to a VISA Gold debit one and then I got my paypal verified, got some of my friends verified as well. But I would rather say that do not go for a VCC , as in longer run it might cause your account to be limited and you will not have any proof that your account is legit. While in the case of a Credit Card you have proof of your Identity and location as well.
update 4 folks, stumbling across this thread. just today, i got my paypal verification completed using netsafe vcc with my hdfc savings debit card. thnx 2 all, who helped with this.

However I would be really grateful if you would kindly give me some detailed guidelines as to how to go about using the netsafe debit card for verification. The point that I would like special guidelines about is how to generate the verification number that is needed for the verification process. invader, thanks for posting the demo link. One more question, if you please. Paypal asks for the Debit Card Number and the verification number printed on the back of the card. So when I get the HDFC card, do I put the actual Debit Card Number as my card number and then put the netsafe Virtual Card Number for verification? Would be glad if somebody could explain in detail. it is simple. just follow the following steps: 1. log on to hdfc netsafe card 2. generate a card 3. note the card no of VCC and not the actual debit card. there will also be a 3 digit no at the front and enter it where paypal says to 'enter verification code mentioned at the back of the cc'. also note the date mentioned on the top of it 4. then go to paypal. go through the verification process. at the end it will ask u to enter some no. which will be on the credit card bill. (i dont remember what exactly it is called) 5. again log in to hdfc netsafe 6. go to transaction details of the card and u will find the required code or no. 7. enter that no in paypal and u r done. if u hv further doubts post them i will clear them.
rahuldas14, thanks for such a detailed explanation. I think I understood all the steps but I will surely get back to you again if I have any problem. I have applied for hdfc account and hope to get the debit card in about a week.
