While it may be true, the name of Pakistan is Pakistan. Not ex India. Yes, Pakistan used to be part of India, but no longer. Thus it is misleading to call it Ex-India, then say in small letters at the bottom, colored almost to match the background, that ex India means Pakistan.

@contentedge, it is no use arguing with them. I saw somewhere in this forum, where you were lauding m5love about being level headed. Contentedge, do you really think anybody from the other side of the border would be levelheaded, c'mon, they cannot even take care of their own country, they are brought up on a staple diet of hate. How many times in the past did they have a successful functioning elected democracy , which was not toppled by the military. They bicker endlessly about us and alleged genocides, tortures of their religious brethren whereas their own country is in ruins, their education system totally screwed and their country bankrupt. Instead of changing leadership, taking active part in the building their country, they continue fueling the hatred.

yes I know, and slowly it seems that, the only answer against them is hate. a collective hate of 1 billion people. But than we wont be what we are. May be it is better to ban them entirely from our country, strengthen security and get back to our lives.
How is it misleading suppose u had a girlfriend as long she is your's she is your girlfriend. When you guys break up she is your EX Girlfriend am i correct ? you wouldn't say its highly misleading to call her your ex girlfriend.
well, It comes down to consensus, which language really is. A consensus that XXXXX means YYYYY. Googling ex india reveals nothing directly related to pakistan. google is a pretty good way to reveal consensus, so ex india means more or less nothing. Thus it is misleading.
I just thought of something else, as well: Would you call America ex Britain? Spain ex France (Napoleonic wars)? Russia ex Muscovy? Or how about Lithuania ex Poland? Or maybe Germany ex Rome? Here's a good one: The middle east ex Sumeria. I believe I've made my point.

Even in my high school we were not allowed to cite wikipedia Plus your wikipedia paragprah is missing ALL citations and it is written most probably by an Indian because of the fact it states "in comparison to India", why would he compare? I can edit that paragraph and write something totally different. anyways this is beside the point, yes I agree there have been incidents in Pakistan where minorities like Hindus get treated differently (as in any country, even Canada here).
