Just want to start a thread for PPC marketers that are experiencing difficulty with clickbank sales. It is my belief that us PPC marketers are the ones who are experiencing the most difficulty and we should update each other on how sales are going day to day! I'll go first...Sales were crap on Saturday.

If you are using Adwords for promoting Clickbank products, you will probably get better advice in Adwords forum ;)

before investing amount in adwords do read some article or a quality ebook on it. It will save your time and increase your profit margin.
PPC is not just about creating campaign..

Try ppc coach it will be the most valuable investment done in your advertising campaign.

I've been running test campaigns and talked to a lot of PPC marketers via clickbank and here's what I've found personally.

    1) Use Content Network only
    2) Use site targeting and image ads
    3) Pay no more than 20 cents per click

After 38 days of testing now I found it just not profitable once my clicks rose above about 30 cents per click. I am experienced with adwords and I must say CB presented the most challenge due to the fact of low payouts on products.

Stick to US and Canada, less than 30 cents a click, shoot for about 10-20 cents and you should try for a "for every dollar spend you make two" ratio.

Other marketers that I've spoke to who do around $500-$1000 a day in sales are promoting 5-10 products and are spending around 10 - 15 cents in content network and receive about 1,000 clicks per day with a total daily spend for $200-$400.

Anyone run direct link campaigns?? I do and they have been very profitable for most of 2008 until just recently. I don't want to here the economy crap because that's not what I'm talking about. I know it's bad!! But what I'm talking about seems to be an issue with clickbank and I'm trying to figure out why it seems to be affecting some people and not others???

One thing is for sure, you need some cash to do PPC, at least a few hundreds before you even start thinking about keyword research which is the actual secret.

What doesn't make sense is, I'm still seeing all the CB top guys dominating the first page like before. How are they going to make a profit if CB is having issues every so often?

Sales are down for the non- PPC users as well..

IF my earnings were around 200$ a day before, now i dont constantly make 2 sales every day.

Call me crazy but CB is about SELLING things and we are in a pretty nasty recession economy, so that can't be helping. Also, people are shifting what little money they have/had to Christmas gifts instead of information products. I'm sure things might pick up in January.

Also, use this as a time to diversify into other things.
