    After weeks of sending and testing, this are the sites that i feels the best for sending FREE sms in the Internet at this moment :

    1. www.oosms.com
    - 100 Characters
    - Ads supported
    - Unlimited SMS
    - Worldwide Countries
    - Need Signup - Easy process
    - 1 Page sending SMS
    - Site look similiar to Google

    2. www.wadja.com
    - 90 characters
    - Ads supported
    - 7 messages per day (to non members)
    - Unlimited SMS (for member to member)
    - Worldwide Countries
    - each time an sms delivered you'll receive an email in your inbox
    - Social Bookmarking style

    I believe there is more service available. These 2 services works perfectly for me, a Malaysian mobile user. Other countries will have the list more expanded. I know service like 160by2.com in India is the best.

    Do you know of any that confidently work from Australia, thanks. It can be rather annoying to have to sign-up first, only to find that it's total unusable.

    I used to try similar free sms sites.
    Most of they don't actually send sms like they promise "Worldwide Countries" .
    The sms are always only available in several countries .
    How about the two site you gave ? I will try .
