blocking slow traffic from my website

I have a website that streams high quality videos. About 30% or so of visitors are accessing the site with slow traffic and take forever and ever to stream the video; I dont mind losing them so i want to be able to block them. Is there an easy script that i can use that can test the speed of the visitor and block him if they are under a certain threshold??

    Thanks

    I wouldn't do that.

You can use Javascript/flash, but what if the person accessing it is also downloading ten other files, you will block that person. Sometimes my 20 mbps Cable goes slow, you might block me too.

You shouldn't block them.. What you should do is use a free server to host your videos. YouTube is an excellent start.

if a website would tell me I'm banned because I have a slow connection I'd feel insulted and would definitly not come back. Psychology 101. You need the visitors more then they need you.

PS: I have a 20 mbit best effort connection, but if I'm heavily downloading stuff or streaming something (or somebody else sharing the same channel) it might be slow for a while. Sooner or later you'd ban me too.
