When registering a new domain name, you should get an password or something that proves that you are the owner of an domain? Or how is it done? Thanks
Open an account at a domain registrar like GoDaddy, Namecheap or Dynadot. Then buy your new domain name using PayPal funds or Credit Card.
depends on the registrar you use, and if you do private registration or not.. please make your question clearer.
for instance if i buy an domain at godaddy. What should i receive??? What is the proof that you own the domain for that period of time? Thanks
the whois information? and whatever nameserver you tell them to direct it to? I don't think you know what you're asking, do some more research I'm sure the answer we'll be readily apparent.
You should have this domain name in your domain name registrar's account and you have to see your information in whois for your domain name
The problem is that you al2ways depend on your registrar. And if the registrar is not of a good faith, you may get in trouble....
I never worried about it coz they all are regulated by icann. And it any case they dropped your domain without valid reason, you can filled complain with icann
Sometime its very diffcult , may be the terms and condetion, or by the sparm metods,, many chance of losing the domain if not with a good registrar. Once I saw some post in this forum regarding the domain thief. One lost his domain and he check with the domain registrar they said that already they receive some signed document for changing the domain and the domain unlocked something like, and the domain is moved to other registrar.
Yes, it seems that it is very dangerous, because you register your domain ...somewhere... and after an while, when you are working hard to get it successfully, you could loose it, because the registrar is not very trustfully.... What could we do, to protect???
GoDaddy and Namecheap have very good reputation in the domain market. You can also register your domain from Google Apps...
I would only buy from a big name registar. I mean really to buy a domain for 10.00 from a big name safe place or safe 4.00 and buy a domain name for 6.00 from a smaller company is a no brainer. Also make sure when you get into your control panel you update ALL your info from the contact info to the technical contact to the admin contact info leave nothing blank.
All new domains are registered with ICANN. That ensures a sense of ownership for the duration of your registration.
so i have new domains you can register there. its will cost 15.90 usd. the servers are located in germany. so fast. hosting will start with 22 usd
Simple... 1. First create a new free account (with your own username and password) on a domain name company such as www.GoDaddy.com www.Name.com etc 2. Search for available domains 3. Register that domain name for 1-10 years with your own details ex name, telephone, address etc 4. Pay for that domain by using your credit card. 5. When you get the receipt on your email, the domain name is yours for the period you registered it! P.S. Be aware of companies that register the domain name on their own name! (Both GoDaddy.com & Name.com are trusted companies)
