How do you hide your ip address when ordering online?

    I'm curious. Seems that sites won't let you order when you're behind a proxy.

    Why would you want to hide your IP?

    You could try one of those anonymous browsers (Tor)

    There is no point of hiding your ip for ordering. Unless you are doing something wrong?

    I agree there is no point of hiding your ip when ordering, can you tell me what would be the reason to hide the ip ?

    To hide your IP go to proxy anonymous sites, or download one those programs that help you hide your IP but that doesn't means people can't find out your real IP, if you do something really bad.

    Its also a good thing companies recording your IP - for fraud cases! Can track your computer and catch people committing fraud!
    I think its great sites record your IP! If someone stole my credit card and used it online its a great way of tracking them down!

    I expected these responses though. And there's nothing wrong with that. But no I'm not a fraudster :) I do have my reasons for being anonymous.

    And that's an mp3 search engine. I don't host mp3's on my servers.

    I just like to shop and browse anonymously. ;)

    I got an anonymizer, so all is good now.

    I do not hide my IP while ordering , suppose if the company cross checks the orders with IP location then what will happen your order will get canceled.
