Hello, I am thinking of making an online 'money making site' so people can come and get hints and tips of making money online but im not sure on what to make, either a blog, forum or just a site. Which one do you think I should do? Or do you think I should do something else. Regards, nut legend
Go for forum coz it more interesting. And its more of 2 way interacting between user and user. Some more,forum can be make many section unlike blog Other than that,you can make more money from forum such as selling sticky post etc
In my opinion, you should start off with a blog, and then when it gets popular, you should disable comments and add a forum in. Then you have the blog and a forum as sources of income, both of which should be successful if you get enough readers in the first place. Also, you'll get listed nicely by Google if you keep adding original content, and a blog is a perfect way to do this until the forum gets busy
I was about to post something similar to what kiteguy wrote. I suggest you start off with a blog and then see where that takes you. Maybe add a forum later, or turn a blog into a larger more interactive site.
There are MILLIONS of 'money making' sites on the web. At least 6 of them are by people who actually make money! You'll be battling for hits and serps with all the others - it's not worth it. Try something more original - a new idea that's really new.
I voted forum. I think it would be really easy to start a forum but keep in mind there are already thousands out there.
Do you actually want to make money with this site? If so then I'd go for a blog because with a forum you dont make much unless you charge membership.
create a seo friendly blog, select an interesting theme. Then continue posting on it and also submit your blog on directory. So that you bolg will get some popularity and may be get PR. Now your blog is ready to make money. Sell your ad space and/or blogroll (provide paid link).
I would also go for a blog, they get ranked well in Google, they are also a great way to earn money with affiliates
Whatever you choose to do online, be it a forum or a blog, make sure you establish and maintain a good connection with the end user. Your website needs to gain traffic before it can earn you money, don't just build it and let it exist on its own. Be part of it, meaning an active forum poster or blog writer, focus on interactivity. Oh and do a research on which niche to choose.
Forum would take alot of effort, cuase it's not too easy to dominate in this market. Blogging is a good idea which is starting to be more popular and poular, so maybe you should try that one.
The more difficult to achieve the goal, the higher the prize. Regarding blogs, see how many are filling up with useless articles or copying one from another these days. It just isn't that easy in any case.
I would start a blog, simply because they're easy to start. Once it is up and running a some sort of user base has been established, I would then integrate a forum into the blog.
