What kind of "hacker" takes a account, changes all the pw's then decides it's useless and changes all the pw's back to something else??

Your story has to many flaws in it. No one will take the time to do that they would just leave the account and never come back.

you got to be real dumb to use payment processors without an anti-keylogger or a trustworthy firewall/av

nowadays keyloggers can do 100 times more damage than viruses

    keep it safe next time

    cheers,
    Tom

That's exactly what a hacker done to me. They hacked my account, changed the password and I have yet to get it back. I have contacted yahoo and tried everything but the email account was so old, it was almost impossible to remember the information that was entered when I started it. Also, would they even know the original password? I read up on this when it happened to me and most hackers just re-set the password, never knowing the original one. So, how would they change it back?

I did have a anti-virus active during that moment. But thankfully awhile I had the keylogger on my computer, I didn't log into any payment processors. So I didn't have any finical burdens.

An account cannot be hacked without retrieving the password first. There are multiple ways of retrieving the password, and once they do, they change the details.
