Well, I wanted to try and see if this technique works. I am still waiting for the results.

I have a domain refrshing to another high pr site. let's see if it works. I wonder how long I would have to wait for results though.

Of course someone could always create a lot of hype over the situation, then develop a "unique solution" to the problem and make a ton of money. Better act now before someone beats you to it.

a unique solution is a solution others don't know. so nothing talked about on a forum will work.

shawn's ebay trick is working, because nobody knows.

my bs still works, because others don't do it.

i am developing a cunning plan, so cunning to make me miss BlackAdder. Black Adder, Black Adder, better than Jim Cerry 10 times.

Yes its the URL. Its the 10meg of space i got with my dial up account.

I only tried the DP site for fun. I think it would be difficult trying to take google as they're way bigger and most likely have a much bigger internet presence than me or you.

In effect, all ive done with the DP site is get it appearing in the aussie only results.

the problem is your pr is till 0 and his still 7. when searching yours is not shown at all unless a unique url key is inserted. i think it is called a failure. so a pr7 is not hijackable.

i think this method is not working at least now.

Ah well, it looks as though G has booted that page out of the index all together finally.

I think we are missing the point here.

More on-topic is this thread: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/22754.htm

As far as I understand it, the problem is hijacking traffic. Your higher PR site puts up a meta refresh to a well-ranking page. Because of G's lack of attention to this big problem, they start showing the higher PR url in the SERPs and boot out the original. No problem, yuo might think, because the site still refreshes.

However, the higher PR can now at any point in time refresh to their own/a clients page and steal the traffic. It'll take G to re-update a while. Even if you only manage to steal traffic for a few hours, this could be very lucrative (and very devastating for the victim).

The clickclocker aff scripts seem to work this way though it seems unintentionally to me. Others use it to either bring down their competitors or steal traffic indeed.

I'm sure Hergo and QLL can pull it off busting a lower PR site if they wanted to.

This is a list from a person that is using a cgi script to steal peoples pages. I have seen this person who will go un-named. I dont think he has highjacked anyones website though. He has used unethical scripting to steal content and has been guilty of copying designs. I know this for a fact because he used one of our designs and didnt even remove the links from it so we were getting links back from his homepage.
