Well, if it weren't a board where business transactions take place, and peoples reputations have intangible but real value, I wouldn't have said anything like that. But if he is trying to fraudulently claim (with his statement that by emailing plinko.com, I was actually emailing him) that he is the owner of a very clever, well known, and valuable website as an attempt to raise his own status within the community, then it does actually come close imo.

I'm not saying it was a well thought out or intelligent attempt, mind you. But poorly executed criminal acts are still criminal.

    What was #1?

Oh, right, I remember that one.

I just had a conversation with a friend today, as a matter of fact (and not wanting to make this political) about how there were enough things wrong with the government that there is no reason to (and many reasons not to) make stuff up. I had taught him before about Snopes, but he still asks me to check out some of the more outlandish claims here and there if he can't find anything on their website.

Not always, actually. Some are truly new to the game and don't understand about what "competition" means. Not this guy though, it was purely self promotion.

I should sue you for slender for calling me a thief. What did I steal you ass hole? None of that material is copyrighted you SOB! An as far as accusing me of stealing someone else's identity be careful what you say it might come back to hunt you. If you and the other asshole lorien1973 (that loves to take things out of context) have nothing constructive to contribute and resort to personal attacks be careful while going that route.
Now both of you SHUT THE FUCK UP and go bitch somewhere else.

So you admit you copied/plagiarized it; but your defense is that its not copyrighted? You never heard of intellectual property, have you?

Go for it. Sue me for "slender". Toss in the fact that I publicly voiced my opinion that you lack basic intelligence as well, if you like. I will gladly defend that in court.

Ya know, you really should perhaps find an industry where you are less likely to get yourself in trouble.

The irony of you accusing me (or anyone else for that matter) of resorting to personal attacks is beyond description.

OP stop abuse the posters. Please be diplomatic and try to argue, instead of taking every word personal. If you are that sure of your position, why care about what they say?

To the posters, stay calm dudes and don't declare the OP as a liar or a thief. We are here on DP. Assist each others, instead of pointing your finger at someone. We don't live in the dark middle ages, but are civilized people.

    Too all, respect each other.

He is both. Someone who works at the company who owns the website that he stole the content from did write me back. There is no gray area here... he ripped someone off and then tried to lie about it. He spammed this forum trying to gain attention. He abused everyone in this thread as they commented. You may be lead into thinking that this was some wild free for all, where everyone lost thier composure, based solely on the OP's completely inappropriate responses, but aside from him, this conversation has been most civil. Re-read this whole thread, skipping over his posts. This was quite tame. :D

Are you punning off of your nickname...?
