I discovered today that the new Jamit Board themes (the one I chose anyway) break in IE. Can someone help me tweak the CSS to fix it? If somebody has already dealt with this let me know. Thanks.
I'm having trouble in Jamit finding where to change the emails that people get after signup. I especially need to change the subject line from "example" to something more relevent. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
I realized today that I was the one that broke the CSS in IE by making my logo too big. It still worked in FF but not IE. Sorry for any misinformation...was just trying to be helpful. A big thanks to Narcotix for pointing out this simple thing I messed up when I requested CSS help. And yes I did pay him. And whoever neg repped me calling me the "World's Worst BSer" I'm not sure what you are talking about but you could at least have some balls.
Good to hear that your problem solved, you should just ignore all such rep;s its better not to pay attention to them. Some times they get on to you if you keep reading them.
OK I have another simple question about Jamit. What is their "Premium" job post? Does that show just on the homepage or is it at the top of all pages? Is there anything else that makes it Premium?
Hello, It is always at the top of the search results, and at the top of the homepage. They also come high lighted. You can see two premium job posts here http://www.hiwages.com.au/ .
These guys have a custom job board script http://www.xpandedcareers.com Its very comprehensive, you can test the demo section at http://demo.xpandedcareers.com It comes complete with RSS feeds, email alerts, admin, employer and candidate registration and all the features you would expect on a top job site. Insutry and Geo-customization is also available. they offer hosted and full source code solutions. The price is not cheap, but if your looking for a $200 job board script your going to end up with a $200 site. These guys are reletively unknown, but the script is one of the best is the market, hands down.
ive got a jobs site making around $100k annually, i may sell, im looking at $200-300k, are you a serious investor or another $10 adsense guy?
Hi all, I would like some suggestions on which job site script/software is more suitable for me if i'm looking to come up with something similar to e.g. http://www.indeed.com/q-Accounts-Receivable-Clerk-jobs.html ? The closest i've seen in this thread is jamit and jobtrend. And I do not need a resume feature. What you do guys think? Thanks in advance.
Job boards based purely on external content. I.E - feeds like the one you menioned in your example, have no long term profitability. If your looking to set something serious up, you need your own unique job content, you need a reason for viewers to come back to your site again and again, simply linking your audience to a 3rd party provider site is not going to cut it.
I happen to disagree with you! Reason: There are many Top job sites such as yahoo jobs, google jobs, recruit.net, bixee.com, jobsinworld.com, careerjet.com etc are doing really well, why shouldn't we try on something which is already working for others, a well planned project with good seo will surely give good returns.
why dont you try and inovate?. Come up with something that hasnt already been done. Chasing the yahoo's and google's at their own game is a long shot.....anyway...good luck
I found some Jamit Job Board real site with very good look and feel: http://www.hksilicon.com http://www.megavacatures.nl/ http://www.freelancersmatch.com/ http://www.greenjobsauthority.com/ http://jobs.allstarjobs.com/ Details: http://www.nasthon.com/webdesign_ready.php?id=wr2
Hi, I am looking for a partner for a project in Africa. I am the operations guy and I need some tools (job boards, b2b, online magazine) and good coders (including Java). I have a good plan. Please revert to SE
There is a job board design like indeed.com, demo.nasthon.com/jamitjob/nasthon1003 [adding http:// in front of above path]
