What Antivirus software do you use?

I clicked I believe GC is the BEST section for this topic, but to be fair - I'm not sure. I don't visit any other sections of DP, so please forgive me.

    Anyway onto the topic....

What anti virus do you guys use?

I use AVG because it's free (Oh, I'm a poet) is it a good one?

Any other free ones that are better?

I've used Norton and McAfee in the past and Norton I HATED. McAfee was good but it was expensive here to buy it for a year and as far as I can tell does pretty much the same job as AVG.

    Thanks.

NOD32, Kaspersky and Dr. Web, all 3 from time to time just to be sure, avg, norton, mcafee and other things are total crap and miss lot of viruses. But hey, that softwares promoted well, better they invest in R&D than in marketing:) Americans still didn't have good antivirus software.

I use Kaspersky. The protection is very tight. Make my PC run slower, sometimes. :)

i use AVG too. For a long time I used the free version then upgraded to the paid-for version. The paid-for version seems to pick up a lot, lot more than the free.

I have Avira AntiVir Personal. It's great because it's small and fast, doesn't use many resources and has frequent (almost daily) updates. :)

I used to use AVG and raved about it. But after trialing Avast and it picking up 8 trojans that AVG had missed I decided to stay with AVast. I have also heard a lot of other people say the same thing, that AVG misses to many trojans.

Norton is such a resource hog. I got it free from my ISP and tried it once, but it uses tons of resources.
