Kontera reduces adsense clicks and does not pay nearly as much

Having the two together on the same site is not a good idea in my opinion. If a person clicks on Kontera they are unlikely to click adsense and adsense pays twice as much (from experience on one site), and possibly even more in some niche. By the way, the CTR was actually a little higher on adsense when I trialed the two together.

I removed Kontera time ago ; they have unbelievebles click rates.

    200 clicks = 2$

I removed kontera and adbrite for reasons..
    1. they are useless
    2. they keep my pages loads slow
    3. they are confusing visitors and stealing clicks from adsense..

    i wouldn't agree with that.

In general i have the same CTR no matter if i use kontera or not. Also 0.05$ per click is ok for me.

I totally agree with you on Kontera. I was earning from them, but it was cutting into my adsense and generally pissing off my users.

i havn't experience the same thing.. my testing has shown no differences in Adsense CTR with Kontera enabled. Although it's true that ePC is lower on Kontera, it isnt always lower and it's usually pretty close. and.. except for the few times that Kontera was having issues, i've never seen it slow-down my site. as for pissing-off members, i only show ads (adsense and kontera) to anonymous visitors and have never gotten a complaint..

I'm not saying your complaints arent true/valid, but i'm saying that they arent true for everyone; i recommend trying Kontera to see how it works for you on your site. It's a great way to ADD to your Adsense earnings.

I think - it is a good idea to have multiple ad streams on the site.. I have experienced bad CPC from adsense sometimes . Moreover, it shows same ads over and again which again reduces the click throughs.. So we created this tool - www.displaybanner.com which allows you to run ads from multiple networks like Clickbank, Adbrite, CJ, Adsense etc - all at one spot and hence showing new banner - always and increasing the ad revenue..
By end of month - the total revenue from all of the sites (combined) is tremendously increased as compared to revnue ONLY from adsense..

Kontera has very strange type of policy that if your total revenue in a month is greater than $5 than they will pay you otherwise they will keep all.

I have also removed kontera ads from my sites. :)

I disagree I think it's a great addition to a site to increase revenue and doesn't effect adsense clicks much.

Kontera they started good in the business. that was before!!!! now they are the worse network in the market, and every publisher will tell you that.

now nobody want to ues them, and they will keep losing publishers. they pay lower than a penny per click. 200 clicks and 2$ , this is ridiculous.

by the way, i was a big kontera fan, check my old post (I LOVE KONTERA) from the last year.

lots of tricks in kontera Terms. (if you do not Give them notice and just stop sending traffic they will NOT pay you, publisher must notify kontera network 30 days before terminating the agreement) , (if you make less than 5$ a month, kontera will take your money) <-- oh yes check kontera terms, and read the small letters.

also is anybody here have tried InfoLinks ?? any reviews here ?

think somehow, because it is a pop up ads, people are less inclined to click on it. Furthermore, there’s no way you could make the ads blend in which is why I think is one of the reasons why the business model fails. And worse part is, the CPC is really terrible.

Kontera is up and down on $$- and reports are always delayed-but they pay perfectly, have run the two together for a going on two years with no problems, adbrite slowed the sites down, but that has been corrected I think.

Agree, Kontera is the worst choice.
I'm using now Infolinks, the earnings are better then the ones with Kontera but I didn't get enough money to get paid, I'm waiting to see if they pay me.

I just started using Kontera this month. One of their account managers contacted me about running a campaign. I have to say that it is working for me. It is true that the ePC is a bit lower than AdSense, however, I haven't found that my AdSense CTR has diminished at all.

Must read the payment terms in section 4.2 before signup with kontera.

You should earn $5 in a month to get your revenue credited to your account.
Average CPC is 0.05. you need 100 clicks in a month (0.05 x 100 = $5) to level $5 barrier. You must have high traffic website otherwise you will lose everything at kontera and kontera will eat all your revenue.

Kontera will keep all money if your total for a month is less than $5 but you will not receive any incentive if your account total exceed $5 in a month. Instead Kontera says that "Kontera loses money for each month an account does meet the $5.00 monthly revenue threshold. While Kontera does not pass those losses on to our publishers, we cannot afford to pay for months in which we are already losing revenue"

    Is not it funny
