Hey guys, I need a clarification with the CURRENT BST rules.

Why? I've received 4 infraction points for the following reason:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=987780

First of all, the comment for the infraction is totally unprofessional, if it's an official warning, then please atleast phrase it in a professional way.
(This is supposed to be a "Internet Marketing & Search Engine Forums" with many professionals, not a casual forum for chitchats)

The way you (annonymous mod) phrased it made me felt like a criminal. I felt threatened, are you telling me I should stop visiting DP? If yes, then certainly I will.
With this kind of attitude, it's no wonder DP is getting lesser traffic these days. (No offence, but really. - anyway I'm still a supporter :))

(Even if users are in the wrong, I think you should atleast "encourage" them not to repeat the same mistakes rather than threatening them to leave DP)

Secondly, I know what I did may not be very legitimate, but at the very least it's better than spamming and it's not stated in the BST rules as well.
Further more, since posts in DP are automatically uneditable after a few hours and it's not stated in the rules, why is it an offence?
Everyone has a different perspective of morality, and if you dont state it clearly, we wont know. Please state all your rules clearly next time so we really know what's expected of us.

Just need some clarification, so atleast I know I deserve the infractions for breaking some rules that I wasnt aware.:)

Thanks for reading, for now I think I'll post less in DP, otherwise I might get banned somehow for I dont know what new reasons. :)

You must have posted, then deleted your post. That is bumping it, then 'de-bumping it'. Moderators can see your posts even when you delete them, so it doesn't work :)

Well in that case, then please state it clearly (or clearer, cause I still cant find that particular rule :x ) so similar cases wont happen much.
And I wasnt cheating any mod, I was just trying to get better sales while following the bumping rules.

It's not clearly stated, and I wasnt flooding either, naturally I thought that the bumping rules only apply to additional posts by the same user to bring up a thread.
(similar bump rules in other big forums are there to mainly prevent multiple posts in a row, so I wouldnt know if you dont state it clearly)

It's within the grey area you see, I think it would be definitely much better if they list down all the rules in sequence and state which one we've broken when they give us infractions next time.

Obviously, you were NOT following the bumping rules. Count your blessings that you only got 4 infractions.
