Should Google Displace 20 Search Results Per Page

Should Google display 20 results per Page by default to make SEOs life easy? Discuss ins and outs of it.

I think 10 results per page is ok, because most of the time, users get what they are looking for in the top 10 results.

Anyway, I have set the results to show 100 per page, as I have to check my sites position in the results.

It's easy enough to configure the display to show up to 100 results per page if you want to

Why on earth would google make SEOs life easy? Google exists for the searchers - your average joe looking for something on the web wants to find it in the first 3 results.

it is already an option to display more than 10 results

Well, it does benefit us as a webmaster but I think google has a reason to stick to their decision. It's actually degrading the ranking system if they decide to display more than the number. They want to emphasize that only the best can be listed on the first page and you have to make it above the top 10 ranking.

It will complicate life, not make it easy ... we are used to 10 results and if there had to be 20, there is more possibility that pages from same site stack up :P

It will make SEOs life easy but can harm google's popularity.. i think each and every thing deisgned in google with quality in their mind.. to serve users..

Also there exist an option in preferences to show upto 100 results.. but by default it shows 10..
