Does anyone know of any good forum plugin for WordPress or any way to integrate vBulletin or SMF with WordPress?

I've searched, but the only thing I could find was XDForum, which is pretty buggy and still needs a lot of work.

Does anyone here know of any good forum plugins for WP, or any way to integrate SMF/vBulletin into WordPress?

    Thanks

I myself have been looking for something similar. I believe Matt, the guy behind WP, is working on something but it's far from WP compatible.

Something should be coming along fairly soon though since I know a lot of people are after this particular feature.

Trial and error I'd suggest. I'm not willing to change from my separate PhpBB forum just yet.

Yes, but bbPress doesn't have a nice interface.... I wonder is there a better template for that bbPress?

I think you have got it right, Arkserver. WP-forum is very similar to vbulletin, and I think it's the closest you can get without having to install a forum engine.

The release seems unmaintained. It's been a few month since the developer released that version

Looking for a plugin. I'm looking a plugin that will offer more management in the sidebar for categories.
Right now under my categories it shows the name of each category with a number that shows the number of posts to that topic.
I think an additional feature would be nice like having an arrow next to the number so a visitor could click and view the post titles.
This way if the subject interested them they could go to the post and read it.

Sort of like a nav menu for each category section.

    Categories

    Articles (4) "arrow"
    Books (6) "arrow"
    Resources (3) "arrow"
    Recipes (2) "arrow"

It there a plugin like this or could one be made?
