Yahoo vs. Google (User's Perspective)

I posted this last week on the search engine roundtable blog, but still think it's interesting.

It's a forum that has nothing to do with search engines, marketing or anything else. There is a thread talking about a rumor that Apple might replace the Google search box built into their Safari browser with a Yahoo search box...

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=61782

Just shows that users really do care about what search engine they use.

People at the macrumors forum whine too much... Why can't they be more like these SEO/SEM forums.

Wow nothing like a raging debate about which search engine the Safari browser should use. Apple should (maybe they did) just let people choose their search the way firefox does. Obviously forcing people to use a search engine is not going to be popular even if it is Yahoo or Google.

If yahoo used to overpower google, I think it count for so many years before they can do that.

Yahoo overpower Google? The Big G? I don't think so.

Google is still the best search engine and cannot overpower by Yahoo. In term of search results and services Google is still number one.
