I've seen strategies that recommend taking an affiliate product and creating a whole bunch of mini-sites all related to it on google-loved sites like blogger, squidoo, hubpages, etc. The idea was that it was an easy way to build relevant in-bound links, and since they are easily ranked, to get your pages indexed quickly and even ranked quickly. But my question is this: should I use those pages to sell the product directly, or to funnel people to my one page and sell from there? For example, let's say I'm pushing an affiliate product on Potty Training (completely random). I would create my own landing/sales page, etc. on my own domain. Then I go register a Blogger, Squidoo, Weebly, HubPages, etc., sites, all related to Potty Training. Is it generally better to put content on those mini-sites and direct traffic to my landing page, or to direct the traffic directly to the affiliate? Thoughts?
Dear Ghalt Both the options can be opted Basic thing is you need the traffic , capture it , make a sale , build a list , list building is most important which most of the people doing affiliate marketing neglects. Regards Tehmina
You can use these Google friendly sites to drive traffic to your landing page. Don't sell but you can presell on these sites. Apart from the sites that you have already listed, you can also try wikispaces tumblr wetpaint associatedcontent Google knol - knol.google.com Hope that helps, Anup
building list, back linking, writing effective sales copy and making excellent lens is the key to success
Both squidoo and hubpages are great for generating visitors and they both seem to be thoroughly decent backlinks if the content is there to accompany it.
This is better redirect from squidoo to your landing page and from there, link it to affiliate site This will make your site look more professional
