Thanks... I'll give it a go. MY mind goes numb after about the first five directories. I believe it helps, but god am I starting to hate doing it.
Don't want to hijack your thread but Do you really think that "mass submission" like that is a smart thing to do, think about it this way Lets suppose we have 500 different webmasters submitting to the same 469 directories, now don't you think that submitting to 469 directories with "similar" content is a bit dangerous ?? Just my 2 cents, I'm hoping someone with more experience in seo would enlighten me about this
well i'm still new in this business, but someone told me here that by sending it to directories will get your site indexed and be visible to google search engine. that's what they said, i'm only testing it out and see the results by next wik or month.
Manual submission is the best way to go. After that, semi automatic submissions can be useful if the title, description, name, etc., are changed quite often. Fully automatic submission software, with included lists, tend to submit to spammy sites with one submission set. Even though you are new, you are on this forum asking and sharing. That's good, because we all learn doing this. I have seen cases where Google starts dumping identical directory listings into the "omitted results" (some refer to it as the supplemental index) after just 6 listings. To get the most bang for your buck, change your submission information often. I reviewed a submission in my directory last week that had eight backlinks from directories using the same long sentence as my search term. The other 950+ backlinks were all in the omitted results. I spot checked a few of his backlinks, and they were all 100% identical. After re-wording that submission, I approved it. When building links, try to make them appear as natural as possible to a search engine's algorithm. Happy link building!
Thanks snowbird! based on your experience how many months would it takes to make your site visible to search engines. i've been link building for a week. and how many backlinks should a make to drive traffic up to 1000 a day.
