What type of forum would you like to see?

There are too many webmaster forums and way too many DP look-a-likes.

What type of forum would you like to see?

Sports, gaming, general chat, anime, warez, etc? Suggest something that you haven't seen many of.

everyone of those you listed is done way too many times...
try a fan forum for a specific game/team/anime or something...
like if you see a new mmo that is coming out and looks good... why not create a fansite for it?
or how about a fansite for a favorite sport team?

General areas are already covered by someone else... so it always good to be more specific... but not too specific... I can't think a forum all about one anime character wouldn't work xD

A new MMO called Warhammer is coming out soon. You might start up a forum for that. It's said to be the next World Of Warcraft, so you'll definitely have a market.

A divorce support forum for mom and dads.

Topics could include depression, things to do with your kids, things not to tell your kids, how to minimize the emotional effect of the divorce on the children. Other topics could include Child support and visitation laws, child abuse and so on.

To draw attention to the forum, have interviews with attorneys (through email or phone) where divorce laws are discussed in certain states. In exchange for the interview, put a banner for the law firm in the article.

Have a downloads section where people can download legal forms of certain states - or point to legal services were forms can be downloaded.

Maybe even a dating section or classifieds for divorced parents looking for others in their area. Have a paid members / adult section.

Why do forums have to be related "just" to computer stuff?

I have a vbulletin forum that is not doing much. So I thought about making a divorced or single parent support forum out of it.

A marketing forum for something in addition to online marketing. There are great tricks to the trade of print advertising, radio, newspaper, direct mail, signs.

I think the actual problem is that many of the offline marketing professionals aren't hanging out online. MarketingProfs.com does very well, but other examples of these types of forums often disappear.

Let me know when you finished WarHammer! Will it be FREE or a paid one like Warcraft?

Hope I'll be the first to make a forum for warhammer!

lol.. he isn't making warhammer (well, I think atleast xD)
    it will be pay-to-play...

I think it's going to have to come up with some new ideas or a way of playing... because if it tries to be a wow clone... it will fail badly xD

A forum about how there's too many forums.

Seriously, worry less about the topic and more about the quality. Most forums are worth crap, because they are full of nothing but auto posts and posting service people.

Get authority people in the niche to post and you'll be on your way.

Most of the niches have lot of forums. It would be too risky having a forum on a niche that got very small audience.

I would like to see a forum that pays its members 10 cents for every post.
There are some forums that provide free advertising points. That is cool

How about a forum on a specific band you admire?
