    Hi,

I am new to AdSense and was pretty inspired after seeing some
    huge earnings figures.

I have put ads on my site but I'm getting maybe .40% CTR usually.
    My site is:

    http://www.phenforum.com

Please check it out and let me know how I can improve my
adsense placement and if there are any other things I can
    do to improve my CTR.

I can't wait to begin further optimization of my site!!!

    I get about 2000 visitors daily :)

Hmm , Don't tell your exact CTR. My CTR is less than you
Try to change your ad placement and blending :)

Am I blind? Where are your ads? I only see one block on your 'latest articles' page and that is it.

You can improve it a lot - may be up to 2% -3% by changing the ad placement. See the adsense heatmap for details.
