Summer really affects my earning...how does it affect yours?

I really hate summer. In the last two weeks, my traffic from search engine has dropped around 20% and my earning in the last one week has been heavily dropping. Usually I can earn as high as $1,200-$1,500 or more in profits every week but in the last one week my total earning was only $500 :(. I thought it has something to do with summer, I don't know. I just don't know because this is happening way too quickly (in the previous weeks everything was still OK)...what can you suggest me? Is summer always has big impact on some niches?

PS: And no, i haven't lost any SERPs. All good.

I havent noticed any drops for the summer?? But then again I have lots of different networks, like during the holidays a few of my sites do bad, but then I have a few that do better than great that makes up for the low quality on the others...
    Its all a wash

Summer is not so kind for my sites either. I can definitely see a decline.

I've heard of the "summer slowdown" problem, but like the poster before said, you have to have different networks and things to fall back on. I have a diverse portfolio of sites, so I'm actually doing better than usual right now.

my main niche is health, try to promote my weight loss sites through SEO and other niches (still health) through PPC. Traffic from organic results dropped around 20% but earning drop more than 50%. Anyway, i'm still newbie in PPC so almost all of my earning comes from my organic listings (SEO)

In the past 2 weeks I've noticed quality traffic drop off markedly - 20 or 30% - and sales have halved. For me the drop coincided with the children's school holidays in the UK. I guess people are going on vacation.

Well, last summer in 2007 my sites were not as big as today (i was very noob back then) so I don't know for how long this summer slowdown would continue. Do you think it'll continue until late August/early September? When usually sales would back to normal for some niches that have been affected heavily by summer?

I think there's definitely a "seasonal trend'' in this industry, and summer is the buttom, while winter is the peak.

    Florida influence?

Summer can definitely affect your earnings. If you've just be promoting for a few months it can get you down...

Check out a post I just did on A Random Walk & Conversions

Don't make any assumptions to fast, conversions will most likely pick back up in the fall ... hopefully :)

I have noticed over the last week or so that traffic seems to be down and I wasn't sure if it was something that I was doing or what. But I guess it might be a trend according to the above findings. Hopefully it will only be for a little while.

Nice post...so you believe our sales would bounce back to normal at least at early September/late August?

yeah August is usually slower for my sites for AM, but not for adsense earnings. the key to AM is you follow the trends

Well.. thats true.. you definetely need different Niche markets for summer. What I seen on my publisher ends are Auto Insurance continues to well and lawn care services. I have both advertising campaigns too if your interested! So.. don't let summer negatively effect you, let it effect you in a postive way!
