How do i make them go up

Install the Alexa toolbar and then browse your site as much as you can.

 

Install the Alexa tool bar.. set your site as your browser homepage.. invite friends to do the same.. browse your site daily.

is installing alexa toolbar imporant and i visit my site everyday so does 50 to 60 other people

 

Yes the toolbar is where Alexa gets a lot of it's data

 

Alexa gathers information from people who have the Alexa toolbar installed.

By using a program that increases your Alexa ranking without actually having human visitors.


This is why Alexa is useless in my opinion.

 

Then how come so many people are dying to get to the 100,000 poisiton or in it anyways

 

Because people are dumb and are unaware how easily that can be accomplished?

 

Then tell me how it can be accomplished very easily without installing a stupid toolbar

 

You should install an alexa widget in your website, that will help your alexa rank go up.

If you use firefox....addon "searchstaturs" tool It will help as well

 

@dj204 - not only content rules pages - you have to present the content well and so it makes sense to power the optical features of your page.

.. and .. dont worry about alexa - at the end the unique visitors are the key

 

@cu-viper: Thats correct but without quality content you have no chance to create a really good site. design only increases this effect

 

So many people are going about this the wrong way and its pointless.

It should be:

higher serps = more visitors = more money and higher alexa rank


higher alexa rank does not = higher serps, more visitors or more money.

If you concentrate on doing the wrong things then you will get nowhere.

.. one thing again - no page is good if it has a low alexa and high pr - only the traffic is important. i read a thread 2 minutes ago from a webmaster having pr4 an no traffic ..

 

Thats the point. For sure you can manipulate your alexa rank or buy traffic. But only with good quality sites you will get organix growth

 

cu-viper you are on the right way now. PR, alexa etc. are worthless when you dont have real traffic
