Hi, Having a hard time to imagine what someone who didn't know much about web sites would search for, if they wanted one for their company? web design [town]? web design firm? etc anyone got any experience with this?
no i just mean kws just seeing what other people think. "web design" would get a lot of hits, but i imagine "affordable web design", "professonal website design firm" etc would have a much higher conversion ratio (to leads/clients). im ranking on google for some "town name web design" / "town name seo" type stuff (same with county name, as well as town name)but not getting many leads. well, not as many as i thought
You need to do proper keyword research - google's tool is as good a place to start as any https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal And find some sites that do the sort of thing you mean, and have a look at their keyword tags, and what keywords they perform for on seodigger.com. Also - put hittail on your site and ponder on your longtails.
