My oldest site completely tanked (how do you go from #1 to n/a?!) and my newer site is now ranking #1 for one of my targeted KW phrases. Which proves to me that this update has no rhyme or reason since both sites are optimized using the same techniques...
I moved up a little bit on most of my terms and stayed the same on some. I would have liked to rocket up to #1 like a lot of people but I think my site is still too new. I am #1 or #2 for all of my targetted terms in allinanchor though.
Most of my sites stayed exactly where they were for the top 3 placements. I did have some of my newly targetted terms ( from the co-op ) do nice jumps from 3 or 4 pages back to top 10.
I don't understand it. I have a golf forum called Golf Rewind with the url www.golfrewind.com. Do a search for "Golf Rewind" and my site is now no where to be found. This, after being in the #1 spot for several months. If you do a search for "Golf Rewind" and look at the #4 search result, there is "Golf Rewind" in someone's Coop ad on their footer. I guess you get the point. The update hasn't been good for me.
Still either N/A or 0 on everything. Still, people are finding my site through google. I'm not sure but I'm down a bit in MSN, but still in decent position, but in google I'm nowhere to be found anywhere. Still google and MSN are having it out to see who's going to sent me the most uniques today. I'm set to have a record day with the two of them accounting for over 50% of my traffic. However, there is something strange going on. When I go to my tracking software and click on the link to the serp that someone found my site on, it's nowhere to be found. None of my keywords register for my site anywhere. So what's going on? Where are these hits coming from if I'm not on the serp that supposedly sent them to me?
I know. For the past month, most of my referrals have been coming from Yahoo! Google was second and MSN was third. The good news is I now receive more referrals from Yahoo! than I ever received from Google. Luckily, I have a successful Adwords campaign that can supplement my traffic.
Good thing Google only accuonts for 10% of my traffic when you take into account all my sites. IN my main few it's around 30%. I've always done OK for granular seaches though; I gave up on trying to actualy rank in Google for anything specific a long time ago. I just built my pages as best I knew how. MSN and Yahoo like them fine, but Google stopped liking them about a year ago and the traffic never came back. And this is on sites that are 4 years and older, so it isn't any sandbox affect.
I reckon, first/second week of May. Anyway, my work site's gone to top 3 rankings for everything I was targeting. My own site (in my signature) missed the boat this time, as it had only been up for a couple of weeks before the update. Waiting for the next one now.
