    The purpose of this website is quiet fun and simple: You upload a portrait of yourself and in return, you get an animated sketch. You may also choose the color of the animated sketch.

    This can be quiet viral/popular on facebook and by email.
    Site is new.

    Domain registrar is dynadot.com - free push.

    Note for the script to work, the gifsicle library should be installed on the server. If it's not, I can install it for you (provided you have root access) or you can ask your hosting to install it for you.

    Site is new so I can't really give you an exact figure.
    But the resulting images are very low in size (less than 50KB, due to the fact they are made of 2 colors, and are being resized on the fly after the upload).
    So you need to multiply that by the expected number of image views, if the site becomes popular and pictures are posted frequently.
    Also, space wise, temporary images (frames) that make up the final image are deleted once the final animated image is generated.

    A new addition to the script:
    the generated images will have a bar at the bottom with the name of the site written on it, in order to incite other users to visit it.

    PS: currently my VPS (hosting) has very little memory available (and no swap space due to openvz OS). so uploading large dimension files, requires allocating higher memory, and as such, some uploaded photos may not be processed. This shouldn't be a problem on any other normal hosting:)

    i agree with the above. It might be so bad if it animated then stopped... or if user could select animation and speed or none at all.
