How to Avoid Website Penalization from Google

Hi Guys,

I have seen many posts here on DP saying that their website or blog is penalized by Google.

I just wrote a post on how can you avoid penalization from Google by avoiding few activities. Please provide your comments and suggestions.

 

I need this as I believe my site got hurt ...

I was ranking so high for MANY competitive keywords for almost a year and bam got slapped!

Just a little attention can save our sites

 

its a decent post however a few of your points do not apply to every website. You point out many of the most talked about preventions (avoiding link farms, hidden text). Trading links does not hurt your site. A link exchange does not hold the same value as 1 way links but it surely will not get you penalized.

that is not true. There are so many different trip wires that will cause a penalty. I myself have personally experienced and recovered from over 20 different penalties for my sites and clients (see itrader).

There just is no way of knowing all the causes of googles penalties.

 

It is getting very tight now, almost any SEO practice may cause you some trouble with Google

 

Thanks for your good comment. I am completly agree with you but knowing all those unexplored causes is not possible unless you did not experienced it. I have selected very common points which everyone should know atleast. Along with time, when you will go into the deep of SEO and Google, You will learn each and everything by your own experiences.

If you have some good points and you can share those with us, i would like to add those in my post.

I agree with what Brinked said and personally I also feel that there's no harm up to the point of penalization just by doing link exchange although it won't bring any significant benefit either. Any instances you can show to backup the statement?

I have modified the post a little where it talks about Link Exchange.

Excessive reciprocal Link exchange really hurts your ranking, SERP and can lead your website towards penalty. That i am pretty sure.

 

Oh you have made a cover buy adsense in your post...

for sure is not too frequent submit your site on google (i.e 2 or 3 times in a month).
better use google webmaster tool. safer.
