Today my new PC came. It actually came last week but a RAM slot was faulty so it had to go back. My System EVGA nForce 780i SLI DDR2 Motherboard Intel Dual Core E8400 3.00GHz 4GB RAM 500GB Hard Drive BFG GeForce 9800 GX2 1024MB Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Case Windows XP Home Edition I posted the links to some of the products so you can check out more. Notice its mostly a gaming built PC, hence the fast processor and amazing graphics card. I was also sick of the sucky performance and constant crashing on Vista. Thats why I've gone back to XP like so many others. I bought it from overclockers.co.uk. They have always been great for delivery, quality and customer support. Any issues and they deal with it. So what do you reckon? My system got around 12,000 on a 3Dmark06 test. I'll try get some images up soon It cost me a fair amount too Mike
Well with that 3GHz Intel and the GeForce 9800 GX2. I think you have just bought a computer that will see you far into the future. Congrats!
Very awesome computer man, and good choice on XP to get the most out of your resources and not using as much for vista 4GB of Ram.. Mmmm Congrats man, have fun with it!! PS: You won't have as many "breaks" (lag time with software) now, so keep on working!! Hehe
Holy crap batman that is what I call a sweet gaming machine. I concur with LogicFlux you probably could have saved a lot of money building it yourself. But what the hell we are all lazy bastard’s right? Just kidding! Hey if you ever need any computer parts I personally recommend newegg.com. They have unbeatable prices, and unbelievable customer service. Let me know if you ever decide to have a LAN Party? Congrats on your sweet gaming machine, I think my wife would kill me if I had your gaming system. Something about not spending enough time with her would definitely be my problem, that and the fact that I would want to play every new game. You have definitely set the status quo for the killer gaming system. Please share some pictures and good luck with your new gaming experience.
My mother went insane when she realised how much it costs I didn't want to build my own as I don't quite have the experience and didn't want to make a mess of it. The whole system including VAT and delivery costs £1250. Thats $2504 Will get some pictures up later today.
I really don't know much about computers. Just want to say, "congrats" on the new one. But based from my brothers' experiences, sometimes you can get more for a lot cheaper price or if you build it yourself. remember there's already an increase to the original price when it's sold in big stores or at the malls. what I am saying is, the price isn't really always an indication of a good buy, or correct me if I am wrong. but if you don't know how to assemble one, then I guess that's how you must pay for your lack, err, for the convenience. that is what ready made products or stores are all about after all. but getting advice from friends or making research about it first is wise.
