It seems that Google offers customized AdSense code to certain sites. I have seen many sites that have non standard sized ads as well as the text that says "Sponsored Links" instead of "Ads by Google". Take a look here as an example: http://www.azcentral.com/ent/celeb/articles/0602cruz.html If you view the adsense code it has a non standard size (420 X 200) and says "Sponsored Links". Their ad format code looks like this: google_ad_format = '420x200_pas_sln'; Is this a special arrangement for AdWords clients who are big spenders?? That's all I could come up with - other than that I don't see how the site is not violating the TOS if they are changing the code. Thanks. tonecrusher
It's for publishers that get huge traffic, something like 3 million uniques/month (not exactly sure of the number). They get special treatment.
Special arrangements with premium publishers -- mostly major news sites like CNN, etc, with a ton of traffic. They get to make their own terms with Adsense, so the TOS as we know it means nothing to them.
No , It's called Premium Publisher and It is 20 Millions Page View (I can't remember what unique exact is)
Yes, it is a premium publisher perk. The requirements on page views vary by country. In the US it is 20 million per month, while in some (such as the UK) it is only 10 million.
Jenstar: "Only" 10 million is about as close to my grasp as Shoemoney's cheque. Perhaps in France they will accept me with 20,000
premium publisher ads are also allowed to open in a new window. i noticed this some days back at dictionary.com
lol i thought if anyone can put a sponsored link adv in google adwords but its for major sites with major traffic x_x
