Getting a new domain doesn't necessarily result in getting sandboxed. If you have a new domain and you move up the rankings very quickly, Google may think you're using spammy or blackhat techniques and sandbox your site for a certain amount of time. A usual indicator is if your site is on page 10+ or 15+ of Google after 2-3 months of continued effort of building backlinks to your site. Your site might sit in the sandbox for up to 6 months. Also, if your niche is a high-paying verticle (such as insurance), then chances are you might get sandboxed with your new domain. Hope that helps!
Sandbox is like Cell for Prisoners. It's hold the newly born website some long time period for the particular high competitive search terms. when u realize that working on high competition key phrase and keywords, your website take so much time to get high on it in search engines, then u know that my site is in sand box. Google will automatically remove your site from the sand box by some time or when it's less competition, or by seek some improvements in your link building. Thanks Anand | http://www.plaveb.com
Its a virtual explanation..... there is no such a box... If your site is new.. it wont visible for some days. so we will say its in sandbox
A sandbox ia a box filled with sand that children play in. ' Ok its like a prision your website i in until goole decides to include your site in a search.
Yeah.. Than My site is sand boxed. I have a very new domain (3 to 4 months old). It was ranking on googles second page for a competitive keyword. But now it just disappeared, its on 8 to 10 page now. Thats called sandbox, isnt it ?
That's right. If you're not on pages 1-3 within 3 months (given that you've been diligently marketing and building backlinks), then most likely your site has been sandboxed.
Yes, it's the effect commonly called "sandbox", but it's not thought by Google as a penalty. New domains get some bonus points, but they last only a few weeks. If you don't build enough trustful links, you'll lose that bonus and you'll get to the place where your site really belongs according to the backlinks you have.
A filter affect that Google places on new domains to stop the website from high rankings for the main keywords.
It is the theory of!!! If this theory is true how did we take a keyword phrase with 156 Million Google results to the first page in 6 weeks?
Sand box is a theory that new domains are kept in sandbox before they good rankings in Google. You need quality links from relevant sites so as to increase the trust rank before your site starts to rank well in Google.
Its a period where you will not be too visible in Google SERP. BUt after the period you should see a significant rise in your organic traffic provided you continue to post and do link building.
We have launched seven sites total and we have never experienced this sandbox. So we do not believe in this box.
I've noticed that when my new sites got first indexing they alway appear on search engine result pages (SERPs) for only 1 - 2 days after that they're then deindexed for 3 to 5 days before reindexed again.
