I am reviewing users' requests time to time and this time I saw someone requested free thumbnail making script. So I wrote one and providing under Public Domain License (which means do anything you like with script). It maintains the aspect ratio automatically. wow, VERY nice of you to share this with the rest of us coders. Really appreciate it man, rep. added. This will def. get an integration in something i am coding.
Thanks Vooler. I am inspired to share my simple captha-without-database script. I will put it neatly and share soon.
Very nice, I would love to see one. What I added to my projects was almost same as the one you are talking about. Is nice to see people contributing. regards
hah, we should all come together with a library of most widely used script functions as freeware. I think that would be the most awesome idea ever! Almost every script uses a captcha system, most utilize thumbmaker, most use a user-login system, etc... :-D
Most of users complaining that the attached ZIP file is not working. Here goes the alternate link, http://www.apitalk.com/scripts/thumb_maker/ regards
proxywhereabouts - it work just perfect and works fine with, it is almsot same to the one used in DPI image hosting script. regards
Thanks, will try this out when I am home.. It could be useful for my directories instead of using a third party to display thumbnails. Anyone have ideas on average size of thumbnail files?
size ? you mean dimensions ? if you are asking about file size, well that is dependant on what type of file you generate.
Sorry yes, I was meaning file size.. But that's ok, if it depends on dimensions I guess if we go for small ones then the thumbnails will be small in filesize, thanks!
+ if you save it as jpeg and with less quality e.g. 85% it will be of smaller size comparing the one with 100% quality. regards
