Logo Design for MyTravelingHome.net

This thread is for the logo creation of MyTravelingHome.net. Currently, this blog is not live, but I plan to focus on home interior design tips for those that move often.

I have found that a logo looks good when you have three main elements: a graphic, the name of your site, and a slogan. Obviously, you know the name of the site. The slogan is: "A stylish home no matter where you go." For the graphic I thought of using a turtle (since a turtle takes his home wherever he goes). I'll leave the color scheme up to your artistic creativity.

The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please PM if you have any questions.

 

I'm doing this thread in conjunction with mightybutton. He and I will be choosing the final winner. So, know that his feedback is just as important as mine.

@kemptons: way too busy. There seems to be no method to your layout.

@ceweqsakti: I like how you have .net red. I wouldn't confine your logo with a border. It limits the site design.

@xtek: Nice layout of the graphic and slogan/name. Even though the font coloring follows the coloring of the turtle it still really washes out the design.

Here is mine, I think it's looks great, hope you will like too changes can be made.

 

dimitri123: I like the layout and design a lot. I'd like to see how it looks with green being one of the main colors.

ceweqsakti: The snail is a cute idea, but the design looks very grainy.

anidesign: Nice designs, but they don't involve a turtle...

casio: I really like this, but the shell being without a turtle bothers me. I would love to see even just a turtle head, maybe peaking out of the shell. The legs don't really need to be there I guess since they could just be inside.

ghosthost: I really like how you've designed the slogan, but I'd like to see the turtle and his home above the slogan and much smaller. Also, I think the white space around the turtle's head doesn't need to be there. And, The home might look better if it was the darker green color and not two toned.

 

ghosthost: I would like to see the house with the turtle above the mytravelinghome.net and the slogan, instead of the writing being on top of the house, and maybe even a bit smaller. Also, I don't like the mytravelinghome.net with the green background. Maybe if the font was a different color you wouldn't need a background color for it. Also, the turle now is in front of his house, instead of carrying it, and I don't like that as much.

 

Here I tried to add the head, hope you like it better and I can do that in the 3 other colors if you would like.

 

dimitri123: I like the green for the turtle shell and the mytraveling.. but could you try a dark grey for the home and turtle body, or possibly orange? Also, I think I would like it better without the reflection below mytravelinghome and with the slogan directly underneath mytravelinghome instead. Thank you.
