I searched and didn't see a conversation going about this yet - By now most of us have read that Google rolled out a new spider that will visit paid media (AdWords) landing pages - (https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=38197) I'm looking to confirm the user-agent name for a user-agent detect solution I have running on one site. I have: AdsBot-Google Is that all there is to it..? seems to be missing something - IE for the standard googlebot I have Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html) anybody able to share anything more on this..?
We talked a bit regarding the crawler new terms here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=89538 As I know Google spider the landing page to compare the destination page relevancy with the keywords that you're bidding. it is one of the parameters to calculate the Keyword Quality score. if the crawler finds a little keywords in your landing page (not a large amount of keywords) you get a better quality score for these keywords if you bid them so this means a better position and a lower min bid to activate these keywords.
ok if the bot finds fewer words it results in lower bids? Please confirm and elaborate. ALSO!!!! Ok My campaigns have been made "inactive". I have increased the ctr so know I want to know how long does it take to get a quality score recheck after the ctr has been made better. I am paying the higher prices right now and I want to know how long would it take get my prices back down. I redid my campaigns and I am paying between 20-30 cents. I just did this June 1st. My CTR's are now at 5% - 11% and the ads are cicked between 2% - 3.5%. Please any advice is helpful.
